The purpose of mounting is to protect the integrity of the edges of the material and facilitate the clamping of the sample.Mounting can be divided into two types: hot Mounting and cold Mounting.
Cold Mounting Resin
There are two types of cold mounting resins: Epoxy Resin and Acrylic Resin.
Epoxy resin has good physical adsorption capacity and low shrinkage rate, which can penetrate into the gaps and cracks of the sample.
Acrylic resin is often used in scenarios that require a short period of time.
